Throughout the year, the team at Fight News Australia keep track of the stand-out Australian fighters and performances on the domestic and international mixed martial arts circuits.
A short list is compiled for a number of categories at the end of the year by members of the Australian MMA media, with the winners to then be chosen by the fans. This year’s media panel comprised of Dave Mac and Nate Gielis from the This Week in MMA podcast, Neil Rooke from Combat Press, and Fight News Australia writers Michael Job, Chris and Mike.
Please note, that while we make it a priority to attend local shows and review video footage of events, it is impossible for us to be aware of all the great fights and fight stoppages on the local circuit throughout the year.
Voting for the Fight News Australia 2014 MMA Awards will take place from Sunday 18 January to Monday 26 January. Winners will be revealed between Monday 26 January and Friday 30 January.
