English based promotion Cage Warriors will be looking at adding some further countries to their hit-list with the CEO of the promotion announcing today that they have plans to break into Australia before the end of the year.
Graham Boylan made the announcement during the live stream of Cage Warriors 69 held earlier today at The Forum in London, England. The promotion also spoke about making a return to the USA.
Since making their debut back in 2002, Cage Warriors has held over 80 events and has traveled around the world with Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Bahrain among some of the countries visited. In 2012 and 2013 the promotion staged an impressive 26 events in 12 different countries. UFC fighters Michael Bisping, Dan Hardy and Conor McGregor have all competed under the Cage Warriors banner.
Two of Australia’s leading fighters Damien Brown and Ben Alloway are both contracted to Cage Warriors at the moment and would arguably lead the promotions charge into Australia.
