Muay Thai fighter Michael Thompson, also known as “Tomahawk” headlines Lion Fight 16 on Friday night in Las Vegas. The youngster from Queensland, Australia takes on American Kevin Ross on the event which is taking place as part of the UFC International Fight Week in Las Vegas this weekend.
Both fighters weighed in successfully on Thursday night with Lion Fight super-lightweight title up for grabs for the winner. Thompson weighed in at 139 pounds (63 kgs), while Ross came in slightly heavier at 139.5 pounds (63.2 kgs).
The event will take place at The Pearl, Palms Casino in Las Vegas on Friday night local time, with the main card set to be broadcast on AXS TV in North America.
