Absolute MMA’s Luke ‘The Lycan’ Catubig was crowned the Brace bantamweight champion on Saturday night, stopping former champ and Brace stalwart Edwin Arana at Brace 50.
The show took place at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre and was streamed live via the Brace website. Video on demand will be available on UFC fight Pass in the near future.
Catubig snatched the title with a second round TKO over Arana, who was the hometown favorite on the night. Training with the likes of Daniel Kelly, Callan Potter and Gustavo Falicroli, ‘The Lycan’ continues to impress, extending his unbeaten run to four with the victory.
In the co-main event, local fighter Aden Hawke successfully bounced back by submitting Kris Spence with an Armbar in the second frame.
