New Zealand flyweight Kai Kara-France is making a dash to China this weekend to try and get another win in hopes to secure himself a spot at UFC Auckland.
Since the UFC announced that they would be returning to his hometown, Kara-France has been busy taking fights to earn himself a spot on the card. He recently knocked out Rodolfo Marques at Hex Fight Series 8 in Melbourne and then went on to knock out Ze Wu in China only three weeks later.
The fight this Saturday will be his third in seven weeks. All in order to try and obtain that elusive UFC contract.
With his most recent wins being at bantamweight, Kara-France will this weekend once again make the cut down to 57 kilograms to prove to the UFC he can make the flyweight limit.
His opponent is Chinese fighter Aoriqileng who will be coming into the contest with an 8-3 record. The pair will square off on the WLF W.A.R.S. 14 card which takes place in the Chinese city Zhengzhou.
Kara-France (14-7) was a contestant on the 24th season of The Ultimate Fighter last year where he picked up the only KO victory of the show. With very few flyweights possessing the one punch knockout power Kara-France has, many fans are bemused as to why he has not yet been included.
