According to a report from MMA Junkie, Polish heavyweight Daniel Omielanczuk (16-4-1-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has been forced from the UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs Bisping card due to a broken thumb, leaving Perth based fighter Soa Palelei (21-4 MMA, 3-2 UFC) opponent-less.
The two fighters were scheduled to meet in the main card opener, but with just under three weeks to go, it’s now wait and see if the promotion can find a replacement for the Aussie. Both fighters were looking to bounce back from unanimous decision losses to American Jared Rosholt, Palelei in June, Omielanczuk in April.
UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs Bisping will take place on 8 November at the Allphones Arena in Sydney, NSW, and will be headlined by a middleweight clash between Luke Rockhold (12-6 MMA, 2-1 UFC) and Michael Bisping (25-6 MMA, 15-6 UFC).
