Megan Anderson’s campaign for a UFC title shot against Cris Cyborg has come to a halt.
The Aussie was set to fight the pound-for-pound best female fighter in the world at UFC 214 in Anaheim, California this July in a much anticipated showdown between the heavy hitters. Unfortunately Anderson has had to remove herself from competition citing personal reasons via her twitter account earlier today.

With the show set to go on, Tonya Evinger, the current Invicta FC bantamweight champion has stepped up to the plate to take on the position as challenger for the vacant 145lb belt.
Evinger has not lost at 135lb since 2011 and is as dangerous on the feet as she is on the ground having finished seven of her 19 wins by submission and 8 via TKO/KO. She has also never been stopped by strikes. Cyborg on the other hand has finished all but one fight via strikes since making her professional debut back in 2005.
