Fightworld Cup has announced the updated fight card for their event scheduled this Saturday at the Nerang PCYC on Queensland’s Gold Coast. As previously announced the event was scheduled to be be headlined by a trio of title fights however the Feathweight Title fight was reschedueld to a non-title fight after South Australian Suasday Chau (pictured) missed weight for his bout against Mitch Heronr.
Chau commented via social media, “Regardless of circumstances, it was most unprofessional of me not to make weight. I will forfeit % of my purse and title shot. I am sorry.”
The promotion later confirmed to Fight News Australia that the title will no longer be on the line.
The event is left with two title fights, as Semir “Sambo” Celikovic will make the first defence of his Fightworld Cup Middleweight title against Taipari Rikihana, while Reece McLaren will also be looking at defending the Fightworld Cup Bantamweight Title against Jacob Mahony.
