Gold Coast local Tim Moore scored a unanimous decision win over two-times Australian Commonwealth Games wrestling representative Shane Parker last night in what was reportedly a competitive bout.
The two clashed in the main event of Eternal MMA 8 which took place at the Greek Hellenic Centre on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.
With the win, Moore now puts himself in line for a potential rematch against current Eternal flyweight champion Shaun Etchell, who defeated Moore earlier this year to take the title back to Tasmania. It was Moore’s second win on the trot after also scoring a unanimous decision win over Ryan Lambert in August.
In the co-main event, recently crowned Brace 2014 lightweight tournament winner Abel Brites backed it up with another impressive performance, defeating Sam Fiamatai with a first-round TKO.
Headlining the amateur bouts on the card, Judo Black Belt Aaron Blackie from Integrated MMA scored another first-round submission win over Paul Traish while Daniel Hill forced Scott Lowe to tap out to punches in the second round and Tom Taylor scored a unanimous decision over Bruce Qurbani.
