After 15 events held since mid-2012, Tasmanian based promotion Valor makes its interstate debut this Saturday night, with the promotion traveling to the Sleeman Sports Complex in Brisbane for Valor 10.
The event will be headlined by a featherweight tilt between local veteran Jai Bradney and MMA Down Under lightweight champion Myles Simpson.
For those who can’t make it on the night, a live stream will be available at the Fight News Australia Live Fights Page at a cost of US$9.99. You can also follow our coverage of all the action including live results and play-by-play.
Bradney, a former Nitro champion and veteran of over 25 fights, will be eager to reverse a three-fight slump when he enters the Valor cage for the first time on Saturday night. Most recently, ‘The Tooth Fairy’ was submitted by Australian Domestic Fighter of 2014 nominee, Alex Volkanovski, at Roshambo 3. Bradney has beaten the likes of Greg Atzori, Nick Honstein and Ian Schaffa in his eight year career.
Adelaide’s Myles Simpson, on the other hand, will be looking to remain undefeated when he also makes his promotional debut on Saturday night. Simpson, a training partner of Kym Robinson, holds a 3-0 record and is coming off a first-round submission win over Anthony Bynoe to claim the MMA Down Under lightweight title in September.
Meanwhile, in the co-main event, undefeated Perth native Ryan Gray (4-0), will meet Kris Spence (3-2) from Townsville in a featherweight bout. Both fighters are coming off Valor victories, with Gray submitting Josh Karst in just 31 seconds at Valor 8, while Spence submitted Ben Barrett in the first round of his last outing at Valor 6.
