An all local bantamweight championship tournament clash between Phoenix Combat Sports Club product Steve McKinnon and Storm MMA’s Peter Cross headlines Saturday night’s Brace 34 in Canberra.
Taking place at the AIS Arena, the show will also feature a welterweight tournament showdown between Ali Kocak and Leo Diaz, along with a women’s strawweight title eliminator which pits Alessia Espinosa-Vallve against Natalie Gonzales Hills.
One half of the main event, McKinnon is currently enjoying a two-fight win streak with both victories coming in the opening round. Most recently, the twenty-six year-old put away Luke Apps with punches at Storm Damage 6 in March.
Cross has seen mixed results of late and will move down from the featherweight division in search of a fresh start after a TKO loss to Simon Arnetz on the Storm Damage 6 show. Like his opponent for Saturday night, Cross’s last victory also came against Luke Apps, who he submitted in 37 seconds back at Storm Damage 4
