After a tough 12-months that saw him lose consecutive bouts and fail a medical for another, Australian featherweight Robert Lisita will look to return to action when he headlines Bragging Rights 7. Lisita will face Tajikistan born Salim Muhidinov in the main event.
UPDATE: 16 July 2016 – Fight has been cancelled
Lisita will be hoping to bounce back on the local scene after losing two bouts in Asia’s One Championship, with a third fight in the promotion cancelled on him after failing a medical clearance performed by the doctors.
Prior to that, Lisita was on an impressive run which features wins over Rodolfo Marques, Takeshi Inoue and Yusuke Kawanago. Lisita will be looking at finding that form.
A former combat Sambo fighter and professional power-lifter, Muhidinov has called AKA Thailand gym home since last year. Still raw and inexperienced, Muhidinov will be looking at capturing the biggest win of his short career.
The Western Australian based promotion returns to the MMA landscape after a two year hiatus with Bragging Rights 7 scheduled for August 22. The venue for the event is yet to be made official.
