Daniel Hooker will be looking to keep his lightweight win streak alive when he takes on Jim Miller in Alantic City.
Hooker (15-7 MMA, 5-3 UFC) has looked like a far healthier version of himself since moving up to the lightweight division last June and this has shown in his results.
In his first UFC fight at lightweight, Hooker knocked out Ross Pearson with a brutal knee in front of his hometown fans in Auckland. He then went on to submit top prospect Marc Diakiese with a slick guillotine choke at UFC 219. All five of Hooker’s wins in the UFC have come by stoppage.
Hooker’s opponent, Jim Miller (28-11 MMA, 17-10 UFC) is a veteran of the UFC having fought some of the biggest names of the sport. Miller will be looking to get back into the win column after suffering three defeats in 2017 to Dustin Poirier, Anthony Pettis and Francisco Trinaldo.
Hooker will be traveling to Miller’s home state of New Jersey for the fight that will take place at UFC Fight Night 128 on April 22nd (AEST).
Edson Barboza vs. Kevin Lee will serve as the main event on the card.
