Trent Girdham (8-1) made his Absolute Championship Berkut return over night on the ACB 84 card in Bratislava, Slovakia, where the Aussie bantamweight standout squared off with former BAMMA flyweight champion Rany Saadeh (10-2) of Germany.
Riding an impressive eight-fight win streak into the clash, it wasn’t to be Girdham’s night with the Sydney based fighter tapping to heel hook submission mid-way through the opening frame.
Girdham, 20, made his ACB debut on the promotion’s first Australian based event, ACB 76 on the Gold Coast back in December, 2017. There, the 20 year-old submitted the experienced Tim Moore. The promotion is due back in Australia on June 16.
