The incredible career of ‘John’ Wayne Parr is not over yet, with the multiple-time world champion announcing on Friday that he had re-signed with Bellator Kickboxing for another three fights.
The contract extension comes after a successful stint on the global kickboxing promotion with Parr winning two of his three fights via knockout, and the third bout a controversial decision loss to little-known Portuguese fighter Eder Lopes. The new contract offers Parr the opportunity to notch up his 100th career win, with the Australian currently sitting on 99.
While not yet officially announced, it is rumoured that Parr’s next fight will be on the Bellator Kickboxing 10 card in Rome on July 14th as originally suggested by Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA.
The event, Bellator’s first to be held in Rome, will feature a Lightweight World title fight between Giorgio Petrosyan and Chingiz Allazov, while Featherweight champion Kevin Ross will defend his title against former Glory champion Gabriel Varga.
