New Zealand’s Kai Kara-France will have the opportunity to break into the top five of the UFC flyweight division at UFC 245 in Las Vegas.
The promotion announced that the Kiwi will take on Sergio Pettis on the card set for December 15th (AEST).

The card features three title fights including Kara-France’s City Kickboxing teammate Alex Volkanovski, who will be taking on Max Holloway for the featherweight title.
Kara-France is undefeated in the UFC at 3-0 since making his debut with the promotion in December of last year in Adelaide. He recently impressed at UFC Shenzhen where he defeated Mark De La Rosa by unanimous decision. The win was Kara-France’s 8th win in a row.
Sergio Pettis is number five in the official UFC flyweight rankings. He is the younger brother of former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis and picked up a win last weekend in Mexico City over Tyson Nam.
UFC 245 in Las Vegas is shaping up to be one of the biggest cards of the year with three titles set to be defended.
In addition to Australia’s Volkanovski fighting Holloway for the title, Amanda Nunes will defend her bantamweight title against Germaine de Randamie and Kamaru Usman will defend his welterweight title against Colby Covington.
