Fights do not get much better than that.
Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker have just put on a 25-minute back and forth war from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Both fighters had their moments throughout the wild fight, but Poirier did enough in the eyes of the judges to edge out the unanimous decision victory on all three scorecards (48-47, 48-47, 48-46).

Hooker headed into the fight as the betting underdog but found success early, landing some big shots and disrupting Poirier’s movement with an inside leg kick.
Poirier was getting the better of the inside exchanges as Hooker started to tire and hunt the takedown in the later rounds.
It was ultimately Poirier who was able to inflict more damage in the 4th and 5th, landing some heavy blows and to edge out the decision win.

For Hooker, the loss snaps his 3-fight winning streak and brings his professional record to 20-9.
Both fighters were transported to the hospital after the fight.
