It’s been an epic rise for Tim, the son of Hall-of-Famer Kostya Tszyu, who since his debut in late 2016, has cleared all that has been put in front of him, most recently ousting former world champion Jeff Horn in a clinical display that put the world on notice.
His next will be Bowyn “BoMan” Morgan who is riding a 14-fight winning streak, with all bouts taking place in his native New Zealand. He’s been out of the ring for all of 2020, having last competed in October 2019 where he secured a TKO victory over Nelson Tinampay.
According to Sportsbet, Tim Tszyu opened up the heavy favourite paying $1.07 and is currently paying $1.04. Morgan has moved from $7.00 and is now $9.50 in what many predicting a one-sided contest.
The co-main event is drawing a large amount of attention as former NRL player Paul Gallen (9-0-1, 5 KO’s) meets former top-ranked UFC fighter Mark Hunt (0-1-1). While Hunt has not competed in professional boxing in nearly 20-years, he has built up quite a resume in that time which includes winning the K-1 kickboxing world Grand Prix title in 2001 before going on to facing some of the best heavyweights in both Pride and the UFC.
Stepping up for the six-round heavyweight contest is Paul Gallen who played 19-seasons with the Cronulla Sharks and also captained the New South Wales State-of-Origin team as well as the vice-captain of the Kangaroos, the Australian Rugby League team, who he played for 32-times. During the later stage of his NRL career, Gallen dabbled in boxing and has built up an impressive resume of 9 wins and a draw. That draw came to former AFL player Barry Hall last year.
There has been a bit of movement in this fight since Sportsbet first released the odds. Paul Gallen opened up $4.25 back on October 28 but is now paying only $2.35. Mark Hunt is paying $1.57.
The event will be broadcast live on Mainevent PPV with further details below.
