Following his devastating knock-out of hometown hero Derrick Lewis, heavyweight Tai Tuivasa is walking away with a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus following the conclusion of the event.
Dana White confirmed the bonuses at the post-fight press conference with Jared Cannonier walking away with other ‘Performance of the Night’ as they walk away with an extra US$50,000.
Tuivasa secured a big second-round knock-out with an elbow, over Derrick Lewis as he claims his fourth bonus in the UFC.
Cannonier impressed the boss with his second-round knockout over Derek Brunson as he called for a title shot against Israel Adesanya.
Among the other bonus winners from the night, Douglas Silva de Andrade and Sergey Morozov walked away with ‘Fight of the Night’ honours for their preliminary bout which ended in the second round when de Andrade submitted Morozov to get the win.
