Heavyweight Demsey McKean’s remained undefeated earlier today with a decision victory over Ariel Esteban Bracamonte.
The bout took place on the undercard of the Lawrence Okolie and Michal Cieslak WBO cruiserweight title which occurred at the O2 Arena in London.
It was his second outing, and first one in the UK, since signing for distinguished promoter Matchroom Boxing. McKean controlled the bout from the opening bell, with a snappy jab doing a lot of the setup work. Bracamonte was unloading but failing to find the target, and that gave McKean the confidence to put some combinations together, mixing it up to the body and head.
It seemed like a clinical and controlled performance from McKean, who got some important rounds in the bag as he was awarded the 80-72 referees decision.
The former Ipswich-based and Ace Boxing Group guided boxer moves his record to an unblemished 21-0 while his Argentinian opponent drops to 11-7.
Since moving to the United Kingdom, McKean has been getting in some quality rounds with some of the best heavyweight boxers including Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte.
