Undefeated prospect Ryan Garcia finally returns to the ring this weekend when he meets Ghanian Emmanuel Tagoe.
Garcia last fought competitively in January 2021 when he stopped Luke Campbell in the 7th round.
After an extensive junior amateur career, Garcia turned pro at the age of 17 and wasn’t long before he caught the eye of Golden Boy Promotions who signed him. He has previously had the pound-for-pound great Canelo Alvarez as a sparring partner but is currently trained by Joe Goosen.
Tagoe brings a 32-1 record and notably brings a 32-fight win streak to the bout with his lone loss coming in his professional debut. He has competed in North America twice previously, notably in his last outing back in November 2020 where he won a decision against Mason Menard.
