Tai ‘Bam Bam’ Tuivasa [14-4] is set to fight this weekend in Orlando Florida against the #5 ranked heavyweight Sergei Pavlovich[16-1].
It will be another stern test for Tuivasa, with his Russian counterpart Pavlovich riding a four-fight winning streak with all four wins coming by KO/TKO.
The Aussie claims he is looking to make a statement and prove he is the better ‘brawler’ and knockout artist than Pavlovich.
“He’s out there trying to flatten everyone out,” Tuivasa told ESPN.
“That’s one thing you’ve got to be worried about – he’s got power in the hands, but if he’s coming to get in a flurry with someone, I think he’s found the right guy and I’ll definitely be throwing them back.”
Tuivasa is looking to rebound after being defeated in a very tough fight against the highly technical Muay Thai fighter Ciryl Gane.
Despite losing the fight, Tuivasa scored a knockdown in round 2, once again proving he can end a fight at any moment and push through tough times with his warrior spirit.

“I want to finish this year off with a bang,” Tuivasa said.
“I’m going to take some time off next year and let my body heal, I’ve been pretty active for the last two years. So it’s just time to get back in the winning column, knock this guy out, come home.”
