Former Eternal flyweight champion Stephen Erceg’s UFC debut is locked in, with the Aussie set to face off against Clayton Carpenter at UFC Fight Night: Pennington v Aldana 2 on May 21st.

Erceg signed with the UFC February after a dominant performance at Eternal 73. Erceg was originally slated to face Carpenter on the 2022 season of Dana White’s Contender Series, however visa issues meant the Perth native was unable to make it to the United States to appear on the show.
After his victory at Eternal 73, Erceg called out Carpenter, saying ‘I want Clayton Carpenter. I was supposed to fight last year. Immigration saved him. It won’t save him a second time.’
Carpenter won his fight on DWCS, and made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night: Andrade v Blanchfield, where he picked up a submission victory in the first round.
Erceg holds a professional record of 9-1 with seven stoppages and is currently on an eight-fight winning streak.
UFC Fight Night: Pennington v Aldana 2 is set to be held at the UFC apex center in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be broadcast via ESPN and the UFC FightPass.
