City Kickboxing’s Kevin Jousset has won his UFC debut submitting Kiefer Crosbie in the first round with a rear naked choke.
After heated exchange on the feet from both men, Jousset was able to utalise his judo black belt and counter a trip attempt from Crosbie, taking the Irishman’s back and locking in the choke.
The welterweight is a former two division Hex champion and signed the bout on short notice to open the early prelims of UFC 293.
Crosbie is a longtime Bellator fighter who was also making his UFC debut.
Jousset’s record now shifts to 9-2.
After the fight, Jousset called for a match up with Irish star Ian Garry.
