The Melbourne UFC card has had a title fight added to the event with UFC women’s strawweight title holder Joanna Jedrzejczyk to defend her belt against Valerie Letourneau.
The bout which, was announced today by UFC officials, will be added to the UFC 193 card at Etihad Stadium on November 15 with UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey headlining against Holly Holm.
Coming from Poland, Jedrzejczyk is undefeated in her UFC tenure which includes two title fights. The entertaining striker last fought back in June where she successfully defended her title to move to 10-0 as a professional.
Canadian Valerie Letourneau is fresh off a unanimous decision win over Maryn Moroz last month on the UFC Fight Night 74 card. The win took her UFC record to 3-0 and overall to 8-3. Her last lost came back in 2012 outside of the UFC where the 32-year-old lost a split points decision to fellow contender Claudia Gadelha.
