Brace returns to Sydney this Saturday night for another show at the Norths Leagues Club in Cammeray. Brace 22 follows the promotion’s late July Sydney offering (Brace 21), which saw Billy McAlees stop Gerhard Voigt in the main event.
Brace 22 will be headlined by a light heavyweight clash between undefeated Top Team Gym fighter Randall Rayment, and stepping in for Wollongong’s Jon Marco Sanchez, who injured his back in training, will be fellow Sydneysider Simon Osborne (pictured).
Twenty six year-old Randall Rayment will take an undefeated 4-0 record into the headline fight as he looks to build off his last encounter, with Canadian fighter Nick Naccarato, who he submitted at Friday Night Fight Night in Thailand back in May. Rayment is a former amateur boxer, also a competent grappler, he has three victories by submission.
Simon Osborne trains out of Sydney’s IMC Gym in Prospect and is 1-1 as a pro. He recently captured his debut victory at Unarmed Combat Unleashed with a knockout of Michael McDaniel.
In the co-main event, entertaining Sydney fighter Adam Corbett will meet Jan Johannes Van Aswegen in a featherweight contest.
Among other matchups slated for the show is a middleweight bout between Lange’s MMA product Laauli Faatamala and making his MMA debut, Wimp to Warrior winner Karl Robertson.
With full Mixed Martial Art’s events in Sydney becoming increasingly scarce in recent times, this is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy live MMA while also supporting the local scene. However, if you can’t make it on Saturday night you can keep up to date with live results at the Fight News Australia Facebook page.
