Sydney based fighter and The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes (Australia vs U.K) competitor Manuel Rodriguez has announced today that he has been released from the Ultimate Fighting Championships. Rodriguez defeated Bola Omoyele on the reality show, but a leg-break suffered in that fight forced him out of the series. He got another chance on the UFC on FX 6 card, however a front-kick from fellow Australian Ben Alloway ended the night early for Rodriguez.
Rodriguez will now endeavour to work his way back to the promotion.
