MMA in paradise returns again as Airlie Fight Night 2 goes down at the Whitsunday Policy Citizen Youth Club (PCYC) this Saturday night.
The event will feature a combination of MMA and boxing fights with local gym – Whitsundays MMA contesting all but one of the fights on the card.
The event is being headlined by a welterweight clash between Anton Zafir (4-1, pictured) and Tristan Murphy (3-0), with both looking at climbing the Australian welterweight ranks.
Zafir is coming off an impressive second round submission victory over Shane Gregory back in September and will be looking at making it three wins in a row when he faces Murphy. Murphy is undefeated after three bouts with his last fight also being against Gregory whom Murphy was able to submit in the third round after arguably going down in the first two.
In the co-main event Leki Tuitupou from Bowen MMA will face-off against George Wilson from Krash MMA.
Tickets are still on sale for the event with the first fight expected to start at 6pm.
