Two notable fights have been added to the UFC Brisbane line up as reported by MMA Fighting earlier today.
Ben Nguyen (14-5), who is on an eight fight win streak, will look to better his professional record when he takes on the ultra-exciting Justin Scoggins (11-2). Scoggins is fresh off a win over the previous top ten, and highly touted flyweight, Ray Borg earlier this month. The victory over Borg, which Scoggins dominated from start to finish, has subsequently landed him in the top 15 in the division. As far as flyweight bouts go this should be a highly technical, fast and flashy fight.
A ladies bantamweight fight between Leslie Smith (7-6-1) and Rin Nakai (16-1-1) has also been added to the card. Smith has been sidelined since the end of 2014 after a loss to Jessica Eye saw her with a detached ear. Nakai on the other hand was previously undefeated before experiencing her first professional loss to Miesha Tate back in September 2014. Both Smith and Nakai will be keen to get back into the winners column in a division that has been blown wide open since Ronda Rousey was dethroned by Holly Holm at UFC 193 last year.
UFC Fight Night 85 will be held at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on the 20th March and will be broadcast live on FOX Sports.
