The rescheduled Cage Conquest 3 show will take place at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre in Nowra on February 15. The event was originally slated for October 26 last year before ‘unforeseen circumstances’ arose.
The main event will feature a lightweight title fight between returning Aussie veteran, Joshua Payne (pictured), and local fighter Craig Martin.
Joshua Payne of the Lions Den Academy in Sydney, who replaces Integrated MMA’s David Greaves for the new date, is a Cage Fighting Championship veteran with over 14 professional fights behind him. In a career which predates 2006, the 29 year-old has faced the likes of Jai Bradney, Jacob Mahony, Jacob Pettett, and Greg Atzori, who he was defeated by in his last outing at CFC 20 back in February 2012.
Craig Martin boasts an undefeated 2-0 record in Cage Conquest with previous wins over Ali Kocak and Byron Cowell. Outside the promotion, the Full Circle MMA product is coming off a one-sided unanimous points decision win over Mikey Vaotuua at AFC 6.
The previously announced co-main event will go ahead as first planned with local fighter Richard Kemp-Hay taking on Sydney’s Jared Weston.
