Asian MMA promotion, One Fighting Championships today officially confirmed the signing of Australian Robert Lisita to their featherweight roster.
After dropping to the featherweight division, Lisita has gone 5-1 in the division which include back-to-back wins against highly touted Rodolfo Marques and Takeshi “Lion” Inoue in his last outing, where Lisita became the first person to stop the 10-year veteran. Lisita will be no-doubt looking at fast-tracking himself to a title fight with the One FC featherweight title currently being held by Japanese fighter Koji Oishi.
In an interview with The MMA Corner, Lisita revealed that he expects his debut fight in One FC to be in April. “At this stage, it’s looking like I’ll be fighting in April,” Lisita said in the interview in which he also goes into detail about the One FC rule set which allows soccer-kicks and is judged over the whole fight and not round-by-round.
The promotion also officially announced the signing of Brace featherweight champion Martin Nguyen who as we revealed back in December, gained his ticket with a first-round stoppage over previously undefeated Luke Standing in December.
