Australian Invicta FC featherweight Megan Anderson (5-2 MMA, 1-1 Invicta) is excited about the prospect of one day fighting current featherweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino (15-1 MMA, 5-0 Invicta).
“Yeah I would definitely take a fight with her if the opportunity came up in the future. I don’t think I would be ok being the Invicta featherweight champion without having that fight because she is the most dominating featherweight at the moment and has been for a very long time. And I think that’s just because she’s, she’s tough and she just goes in there and she gets what she wants, so we’ll see what happens in the future and that’s definitely a fight I would look forward to for sure.” — Anderson revealed on the Fight News Australia Podcast.
“I feel like she fights kind of like Ronda Rousey does, she’s very forward, she goes forward a lot which is that Muay Thai style and that style is beatable, and I think someone is going to come along like Holly Holm who has the best game plan and the best skills to beat someone like that.”
After falling to Cindy Dandois in her promotional debut in September 2015, the 26 year-old Gold Coast native bounced back to stop Amber Leibrock with strikes at Invicta FC 15 in January.
Undefeated since 2005, Justino, 30, will make her anticipated UFC debut next month when she takes on Leslie Smith at UFC 198 at a catchweight of 140 lbs.
