Malaysian born Ev Ting (11-3) will have the crowd on his side when he faces Australia’s Robert Lisita (15-8) in the main event of One Championship: Unbreakable Warriors.
The fight was announced via press release earlier today among a number of other fights for the event which takes place at Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on September 2.
Both fighters are veterans of One Championship with New Zealand based Ting having fought six times, losing only once. That lost came last year to current featherweight champion Marat Gafurov. Since then, Ting has won two on the trot, both via submission against Filipino fighters Honorio Banario and Eric Kelly.
Lisita made his debut in One Championship back in 2014 where he scored an impressive stoppage over Japanese fighter Yusuke Kawanago. Since then though, Lisita has had a rough patch losing three on the trot to Eric Kelly, Marat Gafurov and Timofey Nastyukhin. Come fight time, no doubt the 33-year-old will be ready and willing to get a win on the board.
Kuala Lumpur based Peter Davis returns for the first time since losing to Australia’s Adrian Pang when he faces Shannon “One Shin” Wiratchai from Thailand while in a women’s contest Ann Osman comes up against 22-year-old Filipino April Osenio.
