One of the fastest growing promotions in the world today, Absolute Championship Berkut (ACB) will hit Australian shores for the first time this December. The event (ACB 76) is among a number of new global offerings from the Russian based promotion and is set to feature some of the top unsigned fighters in Australia, as we’ve come to learn over the last few weeks.
Although no matchups have been announced at this early stage, the signings, which include names like Corey Nelson (20-6-2), Alex MacDonald (11-3), Michael Tobin (12-2) and former UFC middleweight Dylan Andrews (18-7), are a positive indicator for the developing lineup.
Fight News Australia can today reveal four more notable local fighters who are set to compete at the landmark event.
A veteran of over 30 MMA fights, lightweight stalwart Jai Bradney (16-13-1) will make his return to competition following an 18-month hiatus. The in-form, Eternal flyweight champion Tim Moore (12-6) is also slated to compete on the night. Meanwhile, undefeated rising Sydney based bantamweight Trent Girdham (6-0) will make his promotional debut at the event along with Newcastle middleweight Anthony “The Angry Panda” Johns (7-1).
ACB 76 takes place Saturday, December 9. The venue for the Gold Coast event is expected to be announced next week, along with further fight announcements.
