Russian promotional powerhouse Absolute Championship Berkut makes its anticipated debut on Australian shores when ACB 76 hits the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre this Saturday night. The card will feature international regulars while also giving an opportunity for local MMA fighters to showcase their talents on a well established global MMA franchise.
In the headliner, experienced Russian fighter Sharaf Davlatmurodov will take on American Bellator veteran Brett Cooper in a welterweight match up.
Davlatmurodov is coming off a second round submission win over Lithuanian Mindaugas Verzbickas at ACB 68, while his opponent Cooper goes into the contest fresh off a second round KO loss at ACB 67.
Both combatants share notable wins over tough competition under the ACB banner, and no doubt will be looking at getting the win in hopes of moving one step closer to a title shot opportunity.
In the co main event, Gold Coast based UFC vet Dylan Andrews steps in to face Russian prospect Azamat Amagov.
The 38 year-old Andrews is coming off a highlight-reel knockout over Papy Abedi earlier in the year in Sweden, his first fight back after his time in the UFC where the Gold Coast based Kiwi went 2-3.
Amagov, on the other hand, will be eager to bounce back after losing for the first time in his career recently at ACB 58. Prior to the loss, the Russian had put together an impressive nine-fight win streak.

Also on the card, which is littered with Australian talent, Bellator veteran Anthony Leone is set to take on Brit Dean Garret, while Gold Coast native Michael Tobin returns to the promotion to go up against Malaysia’s Sam Chan.
Additionally, intriguing match ups between Melbourne based Brazilian Rodolfo Marques and undefeated Russian Mehdi are slated for the show while Kiwi standout Kieren Joblin is set to take on another undefeated Russian in Bai-Ali Shaipov.
