Just days after we previewed rising Aussie MMA featherweight Arlene Blencowe’s Bellator debut against former UFC fighter Alexis Dufresne at Bellator 137 in May, it was revealed that Dufresne has withdrawn from the matchup after falling pregnant. Blencowe, 31, remains confident the promotion will find her a replacement for the event. She posted the development on her Facebook page.
Not the announcement I want to make but my opponent for my Bellator debut, Alexis Defrusne has pulled out due to her being pregnant. Sending her a congratulations, I’m sure it must of been quite a surprise.
I’m confident however that I will have a replacement opponent for May 15th :).
