An injury has forced Australian Top Team fighter Ashkan Mokhtarian off the UFC Adelaide card with UFC officials searching for replacement to take on Kai Kara-France.
News of the withdrawal was first reported by MMA Junkie who cited a UFC official.
The report further suggested that officials are now searching for a locally based flyweight to take on Kara-France with the possibility that the match-up could be moved to a bantamweight contest.
Kara-France, 25, appeared on The Ultimate Fighter 24 where he scored a cracking 30-second knock-out in his opening bout before being eliminated in the quarter finals. A loss in Japanese promotion Rizin has been followed up with five consecutive victories.
