Popular Integrated MMA lightweight Adrian Pang makes his anticipated return to competition at One Championship: Heroes of the World, in Macau, this Saturday night.
Pang’s opponent will be Filipino MMA veteran Eduard Folayang (15-5) of the well known Team Lakay. Folayang most recently won a unanimous decision bout against highly touted Japanese fighter Yamada Tetsuya, earlier in the year, while Australia’s Adrian Pang (22-8-2) is on a three fight win streak, two of which were with Asian MMA juggernaut One Championship. Pang will be looking to notch up another win this Saturday as he sets his eyes firmly on a title match with Japanese MMA pioneer and superstar Shinya Aoki down the track.
Another Aussie will be competing on the night with a featherweight contest between Sydney’s Martin Nguyen (6-1), from KMA Top Team, and one of the most hyped undefeated fighters in Asia, 18-year old Christian Lee (5-0) of Asian MMA powerhouse, Evolve MMA in Singapore. Nguyen’s only loss came at the hands of the current One Championship featherweight champion Marat Gafurov, after taking the fight on late notice. With an impressive win over Lee on the weekend, it will surely put Nguyen in good stead for a rematch with Gafurov on a future card.
The event takes place at Macau’s Cotai Arena and will be headlined by a flyweight bout between former champion Adriano Moraes and Tilek Batyrov for the interim flyweight title. One Championship: Heroes of the World will be streamed live here.
