American based Australian fighter James Polodna (pictured) scored his second consecutive career victory as he won a decision on the under-card of Legacy Fighting Championships 28.
Polodna took the fight on short-notice and failed to make weight for the featherweight clash however fight-time was able to edge out a unanimous points decision over Nikon Poowichai. All three judges awarded Polodna the fight 29-28. With the win, Polodna moved his professional record to 2-1. It was his first bout since a March 2013 second-round submission win.
The event was held in Arlington, Texas, USA on Friday night (Saturday in Australia).
Polodna spent time training at the Tristar gym in Montreal, Canada and has recently made the move to The MMA Lab. The former Muay-thai practitioner is training with the likes of former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson at the Arizona, USA based fight team. Polodna has also spent time working on his boxing at the famous Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas under the guidance of Jeff Mayweather.
