Bec Rawlings will return to the Octagon for her second appearance this year when she faces Paige VanZant in Vancouver on August 27th.
Rawlings is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Seo Hee Ham at UFC Brisbane in March after a long lay off due to injury. She is currently on a two-fight win streak with her only defeat since making her UFC debut coming against Heather Clarke at the TUF Finale in 2014.
VanZant has just finished a stint on Dancing with the Stars and has turned down movie offers and appearances for the WWE to focus on her mixed martial arts career. The UFC’s golden girl is coming off a loss to Rose Namajunas which saw her submit to a rear-naked choke after five rounds of punishment. Prior to her loss she managed to string together three consecutive wins against Alex Chambers, Felice Herrig and Kailin Curran.
The line up announced to date is as follows:
- Charles Oliveira vs. Anthony Pettis
- Alessio Di Chirico vs. Garreth McLellan
- Bec Rawlings vs. Paige VanZant
