Bec Rawlings will make her return to the Octagon in February when she treks across the Pacific to Houston, Texas.
The Aussie will be keen to get back into the winners column after suffering a second round TKO to rising star Paige VanZant taking her UFC record to 2-2.
Her opponent, Tecia Torres, is no stranger to Rawlings. The two fought back in 2014 when they competed on The Ultimate Fighter Season 20. Torres won that fight via unanimous decision and went on to win her next three fights in the UFC’s strawweight division before dropping her first career loss against top prospect Rose Namajunas.
Rawlings has been vocal about her thoughts on the fight with Torres, most recently telling news.com.au that she believed she was “ripped off.” Needless to say she is looking forward to the re-match.
This will be back-to-back tough fights for Rawlings who faces her second top 10 opponent in a matter of months despite being unranked herself.
UFC Fight Night Houston takes place on Sunday February 5th live on FOX Sports (AEST) and will be headlined by a featherweight bout between Dennis Bermudez and Chan Sung Jung.
