There has been a late change to the main event of Legend MMA tonight with Ben Kelleher (11-8) stepping up on less than a day’s notice to take on Steven Kennedy.
The switch has not been officially announced by the promotion however sources closed to the fighter have indicated the change to Fight News Australia.
The change was forced after South African Dricus du Plessis had complications getting to Australia. The ranked fighter and the promotion were eagerly still attempting to have it sorted earlier this morning however the promotion was forced to look for alternatives when that failed.
Kelleher last competed back in June where he lost to Stu Dare in the opening seconds.
The event takes place at the Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast tonight and can be viewed live via an online pay-per-view.
