TUF ‘Smashes’ lightweight Ben Wall has signed with Legacy Fighting Championship and will likely make his debut for the Texas based promotion in January.
Wall is expected to face American Alex Black at Legacy FC 27 in Houston as reveled today by MMAJunkie.com.
The undefeated Aussie, who signed with American company Big Fight Management earlier in the year, is currently training at the MMA University gym in Canada after making the move from Brisbane last month.
Wall (7-0-1) has gone 1-0 in MMA following his quarter-final exit from the 2012 TUF series at the hands of eventual finalist Colin Fletcher. At Nitro 8 in March, the 24 year-old ground out a unanimous points decision win over Jai Bradney to capture the promotion’s lightweight title.
He also faced Bernardo ‘Trekko’ Magalhaes in the mixed rules promotion Combat8 in April where he edged out the former UFC fighter via a split points decision.
Alex Black (5-3) is currently riding a four fight win streak after going 1-3 to begin his pro career. This fight will be the 25 year-old’s fifth appearance for Legacy Fighting Championship, in which his record stands at 2-2.
The two fighters are expected to meet in the promotion’s featherweight division.
Legacy FC 27 is scheduled to take place at the Houston Arena Theatre on January 31.
