Bouts the calibre of Anthony Joshua (24-1) versus Oleksandr Usyk (18-0) don’t come around every weekend with the two heavyweights set to throw down in Tottenham, England this Sunday.
Joshua, will defend his WBA, IBF, and WBO titles against Usyk who was a former undisputed champion in the cruiserweight division. The Ukrainian made the move to heavyweight in 2018 where he has moved up the rankings, notably defeating Dereck Chisora in his last outing, a little less than 12-months ago.
In Joshua’s last outing, he secured a stoppage over Kubrat Pulev in December 2020. Prior to that in December 2019, the 31-year-old got revenge over Andy Ruiz who had shocked ‘AJ’ 6-months early with a seventh-round TKO.
It’s a bout that could be closer than the odds suggest with Joshua currently paying 1.36 for a win while Usyk paying 3.25 according to Unibet.com.au at the time of publishing.
