At the age of 48, former IBF middleweight world champion Sam Soliman returns to the ring when faces Jesse White this weekend. White will be eager for redemption after losing a split decision to Soliman back in December.
Soliman is a 25 year veteran of the sport, having made his pro debut back in 1997. His career highlight came in 2013 when he claimed the world title, with a decision victory over Felix Sturm in Germany. In 66 professional bouts, he has only been stopped twice and sports a 47-16, 1 draw, 1 no-contest record.
White will be looking to get his young career back on track. He started it with six straight victories before losses to Fano Kori and Sam Soliman in his last two outings.
The vacant Victorian state middleweight title will be on the line.
