Brace starts it’s 2016 launch this Saturday afternoon and with the events now available on UFC Fight Pass, the promotion will be hoping it will be their biggest year to date.
A women’s flyweight bout between Jade Thomson and Hera Tamati will take centre stage.
The event, Brace 38 will take place at the Big Top in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and will be streamed live on the UFC’s subscription service UFC Fight Pass.
It’s straight into the limelight for Jade Thomson who will be making her MMA debut. Thomson is an Australian Muay Thai champion and a 2nd degree black belt training out of Pollet’s Martial Arts.
Her opponent Hera Tamati has stepped up to replace Jessy Rose-Clark in the main event slot. Bringing a 5-3 fight record into the contest, “Tha Nytmare” Herati is the Minotaur flyweight title holder however is coming off a loss to New Zealand stand-out Kate Da Silva.
Also on the card, 22-fight veteran Rick Alchin, who is coming off the biggest win of his career against Steve Micallef will meet the undefeated Sinosic-Perosh trained Andrew Mills.
The 2016 bantamweight, featherweight and lightweight tournament bouts will also be featured on the card.
