Australian Muay Thai star Celest Hansen is back in action this Friday.
The 29-year-old is set to face China’s Yu Yau Pui at ONE Friday Fights 29 on August 18. The event goes down at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Hansen has made a huge impression in her ONE tenure so far and will be looking to make it three from three against Yu, after she crushed Kalaked Por Muangpetch on debut in February.
The Fairtex represented returned in May with an epic split decision win after a bloody battle with England’s Dani Fall at ONE Friday Fights 17.
Yu is riding a three-fight win streak of her own, the latest of which was a decision over Estonia’s Marie Ruumet back in June.
Hansen will also have the added motivation of exacting a degree of Aussie revenge, after the Hong Kong native stopped Canberra’s Devina Martin at ONE Friday Fights 11 in March.
The Hansen-Yu winner will take a big step forward in the ONE atomweight Muay Thai division that is currently ruled by Brazilian star Allycia Hellen Rodrigues.
The international portion of ONE Friday Fights 29 is headlined by two-time Lumpinee Boxing Stadium champion Pongsiri PK Saenchai, who takes on undefeated Iranian star Fariya Aminipour.
