Celeste Hansen has announced herself to the ONE Championship fans in a big way on debut.
The Aussie Muay Thai star took out late replacement Kalaked Por Muangpetch in the third round at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok on February 24.
The bout was a rematch of a December 2021 meeting between the pair, when Hansen also took the honours.
The opening bout of ONE Friday Fights 6 was a slugfest from the opening bell, as Hansen and Kalaked traded punches back-and-forth.
Ultimately, Hansen showed the better defence over the course of the fight and the damage began to show on her opponent.
With just 40 seconds left in the battle, a right hand from Hansen froze Kalaked. The 29-year-old then unloaded punches on the stricken Thai before referee Olivier Coste stepped in to halt the action.
The performance netted Hansen a 350,000baht (approx. AUD$15,000) performance bonus, courtesy of ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.
Hansen – who only began training in the sport in 2015 – improved her record to 36-14. Incredibly, 21 of those wins have come by way of knockout.
Hansen won her way onto the ONE roster with victory in the Road to ONE atomweight tournament in 2022, when she shocked the predominantly Thai field.
In the main event of ONE Friday Fights 6, Kongthoranee Sor Sommai survived a second round knockdown, stopping the onrushing Gingsanglek Tor Laksong just seconds later in a wild come-from-behind win.
