Charles Joyner’s MMA journey continued on the weekend, with the former world title-accomplished kickboxer securing his second victory on the UK promotion Cage Warriors.
Joyner defeated English fighter Branden Guest via unanimous decision on the undercard of Cage Warriors 176.
The win was Joyner’s third in a row and moved his professional MMA record to 4-1 while Guest was making his professional MMA debut after a decorated amateur career.
Originally born in England, Joyner was raised in Australia and spent time training with the likes of Tyson Pedro and Tai Tuivasa, who he assisted in cornering when Tuivasa took on Struve back in 2020.
He decided to move back to England during Covid, so he could remain active during lockdowns and has remained there when opportunities opened up to compete regularly in MMA.
