Canadian Chris Clements handed The Ultimate Fighter: Nations middleweight Vik Grjic a first round TKO loss at UFC Fight Night 55 in Sydney today. The welterweight clash took place on the preliminary portion of the card and was streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.
UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs Bisping took place on Nov. 8 at the Allphones Arena in Sydney, Australia.
Grujic wasted no time getting the fight to the ground from the opening bell, but Clements worked back to his feet not long after. Grujic worked Clements up against the cage on a couple of occasions but without any real damage to come out of it. Clements then wobbled the Aussie with a knee and unleashed a barrage of punches and finished ‘The Spartan’ at 3:06 into the fight.
With the win, Clements moves his record to 12-5-1 and 2-1-1 in the UFC. The loss follows Grujic’s win over Chris Indich in New Zealand, with his professional record now standing at 7-4.
